About Us

OBIOMA IN DIASPORA is a non-profit and not for profit organisation free and independent of any political and religious affiliations. The association is a congregation of Obioma Indigenes from Udi, Enugu State, and Igbos in the diaspora. The Organization’s main objectives are to: a) To promote fellowship and unity among Obioma indigenes in the diaspora; (b) To assist Obioma, Udi L.G.A., Enugu State, Nigeria, indigenes in capacity building; (c) To foster sustainable infrastructural development in and for the people of Obioma; and (d) To develop and promote programmes and projects designed to stimulate cultural, educational, moral, social needs and progress in Obioma.

The organization is bonded by a constitution that stipulates the overall modus operandi. Membership is open to all Obioma indigenes and their family members in diaspora, by birth, marriage, or born by parents from, or proven descendants of Obioma, Udi LGA of Enugu State, Nigeria, in West Africa. Individual Membership comprises an individual member in a traditional nuclear family. Apart from this, no other special qualifications are necessary to become a member of the Organisation.
